Text to self- Hunger Games

     My book is The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and it is part of a series. In my book Katniss is sent off to the Hunger Games to fight to the death with 24 other tributes. Katniss is the "mom" of her family because her dad died from an explosion in the mines so her mom is in a state of depression. Her sister Prim got called for the reaping and Katniss volunteered for her sister. Soon Katniss is sent into the arena and is staying out of the fighting. Katniss killed two tributes with tracker jackers and one tribute with her arrow because he killed her friend Rue. The Game Makers have just announced that two tributes from the same district are allowed to win.

     Katniss reminds me of a friend I had. My friends mom wasn't the best and she had to take care of her and her little brother. Her dad died so she was left with her brother and mom. Katniss also reminds me of me. My parents are usually busy and my oldest sister always working. Even though I have another older sister I have to be the "mom" of my older and younger sisters. I always have to tell them what chores they had to do, exercise, do their homework, practice their sports, and I had to cook dinner for them.

     I love the way this books story line is laid out. The story is not confusing at all and has great suspense. Suzanne Collins wrote the book so clear and detailed it makes you fall in love with the characters. The games are unrealistic but who knows what the future will bring.

    You had a good summary of what you have read, but some commas could have been used. It is also good that you can relate to the book well, being the responsible child by taking care of your sisters. Make sure to proofread, and good job!

    I love how much effort and you put into your blog, you really described it and made the book sound very interesting and fascinating. Your blog really made me want to read The Hunger Games.

Rowling, that is about a boy named Harry who finds out he is a wizard after 10 years of his life. Then it doesn't help that he has to live with his muggle relatives after his parent are killed by an evil wizard. Though,things do get better once he arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizarding. While he is there, he meets Ron and Hermione, who become his best friends throughout the year.       The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is a book about a girl who has unexpected change in he sail home to america for the summer and witness some life changing things. She has to choose who to trust and makes the wrong choice. She was indirectly responsible for two murders, and takes the place of the victims because, the captain after committing the murder made the crew work basically double.      This happens in the real world but usually in much smaller scale. Usually people get fired or die, and people have to take there place in the business. It can also be someone is better and is promoted into someone else's seat. Also people witness murders just like her a lot depending on were you live.      There are many similarities however this was the biggest. Others may include boats, alliances, sailors, and double agents. Murder ocurrs many times in this book and has the most to talk about.
