Text To Text- Catching Fire

I'm reading Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. It's an amazing book. The details are fantastic and make you want to read more. In the beginning of the book Katniss is visited by President Snow. Snow told Katniss that he knew that their "love story" was fake and that the capital and some districts may believe it but he doesn't. He want's them to make him believe it. After Snows talk with her, Katniss was determined to make Snow believe that their love story was real. Later that day Peeta and Katniss ( the winners ) went on the victor tour around the districts to pay their respects to the fallen tributes. During the talk Snow gave Katniss, he mentioned something about a rebellion happening and Katniss is starting to see that signs. President Snow is noticing how bad the rebellion is starting to be and remembers that it's the Third Quarter Quell.

Catching Fire reminds me of The Maze Runner. The reason why it reminds me of The Maze Runner is because in The Maze Runner everyone is put into a box called The Glade and in Catching Fire, victors are put into an arena. In both stories their are deaths of people trying to get out. In Catching Fire everyone is fighting to the death to get out and in The Maze Runner everyone is trying to find a way out. Katniss from Catching Fire reminds me of Thomas from The Maze Runner because both of them were thriving to get out and win the cruel game people are making them play.

The way this book was written surprised me. The words have so much power it makes you feel like you're in the games. I noticed that Katniss is always keeping important things people have told her as secrets. If I were Katniss I would not keep the secrets away from people because it will cause problems and put them in harms way. This story teaches that if you are determined to do something you will achieve it.
