    My book that I'm reading is called Princess Academy written by Shannon Hale. This story is about a twelve year old girl named Miri who is taken to a princess academy along with other girls ages twelve to seventeen in her village. In the academy, the girls will learn to become a princess. After a year, one girl will be chosen to be crowned princess and marry the prince. The girls don't look enjoy it at first, but after a while, they decide to just try their best. Miri studies every night to prove the girls that are mad at her wrong. Miri decides to except the challenges of learning to be princess. When Gerti assumes that Miri was stuck in the closet, she reminds Tutor Olana (the mean lady prepping the girls to be princesses) and almost gets herself into trouble. Soon, after Miri is freed from the closet, she gets closer to Gerti.
    When Miri and the girls hike up to the princess academy, I think of when the group of teens in Downriver white water raft on the Grand Canyon because they go on adventures. Miri is like Charlotte Doyle from The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle because they both try to convince people that they can't and don't want to go somewhere. Miri is also like August from Wonder because they are both new to schooling with other people. When word spread that Miri might have said something about her friends to Olana, I thought of Stargirl when people said that,"Stargirl loves Leo."
     I was surprised how well Princess Academy connected to so many stories. It showed me that this story can relate to a lot of things in your life. I thought Miri was smart making friends with Gerti. I like Gerti because she is so caring and sweet to Miri even after she got here in trouble in front of Olana. It seems like Miri chances of becoming princess is getting higher and higher.

Rowling, that is about a boy named Harry who finds out he is a wizard after 10 years of his life. Though,things do get better once he arrives at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizarding. While he is there, he meets Ron and Hermione, who become his best friends throughout the year.       The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle is a book about a girl who has unexpected change in he sail home to america for the summer and witness some life changing things. She has to choose who to trust and makes the wrong choice. She was indirectly responsible for two murders, and takes the place of the victims because, the captain after committing the murder made the crew work basically double.      This happens in the real world but usually in much smaller scale. Usually people get fired or die, and people have to take there place in the business. It can also be someone is better and is promoted into someone else's seat. Also people witness murders just like her a lot depending on were you live.      There are many similarities however this was the biggest. Others may include boats, alliances, sailors, and double agents. Murder ocurrs many times in this book and has the most to talk about.
